ABOUT

David Lim is a film & video editor/director based in California.

He is the co-editor of the feature documentary Top Spin, a film about ping-ping and the journey to the Olympics.

As part of the editorial staff at Ravin Films, he worked with Emmy-nominated editor/director Bob Sarles for clients including Industrial Light and Magic, Bill Graham Special Events, Experience Music Project, Stax Museum of American Soul Music, and VH1. David was the motion graphics artist for the Elvis Costello and the Attractions Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute film, and was the assistant editor for the documentaries "Fly Jefferson Airplane" and "John Lee Hooker: Come and See About Me" produced for Eagle Rock Entertainment.

He also worked editorially with Academy Award-winning director and producer, Ruby Yang and Thomas Lennon, on PSAs sponsored by the NBA featuring Yao Ming and Magic Johnson.

He recently created the motion graphics Cartoon College, a feature-length documentary about comics and the people who create them. He was the editor and motion graphics artist for the all-female technology-based musical art group 0th for their live performance at the 12th Annual San Francisco Electronic Music Festival. He also shot and edited promotional videos for Eisner Award-winning Bay Area comic book artist Jason Shiga, one of which was featured on neatorama.com.

As additional editor, he has credits in both the upcoming feature-length documentary All of Me directed by Alexandra Lescaze, and upcoming feature-length narrative Trust Me.
